Principal Update

We are committed to establishing a tradition of excellence at Heritage Middle School. OUr vision can be defined thorugh 6 key parameters:

H1N1 Vaccination Information from Central District Health Department

Central District Health Department (CDHD) will be partnering with Meridian Joint School District to provide H1N1 flu vaccine to students in the district.  CDHD will be coming to your child’s school this fall for a one time vaccination clinic.  The date and time has not yet been determined but informational packets with consent forms will be made available closer to the date of the clinic for your child’s school.  This vaccine is not mandatory for your child, but having your child vaccinated will help to prevent the spread of flu in the school setting.  If you would like to have your child vaccinated against H1N1 flu but do not want the vaccination done in the school setting, other options will be available.  If you have questions about H1N1 flu or school-based vaccination, please visit the CDHD website at www.cdhd.idaho.gov or call their H1N1 flu hotline at 321-2222.
Middle School Exit Standards
Commencing with the 2009-2010 school year, all seventh and eighth grade students are required to have met a series of requirements by the end of the school year. Please refer to your student handbook on page 2 for more information or review the Exit Standards Policy here.

Are you New to the area?
If you are new to the area and need information about enrolling a student in Heritage Middle School please e-mail our registrar Mary Joyce.
In-District Transfer
If you would like to transfer your student from one Meridian Middle School to another please fill out the In-District Transfer Application and submit it to the principal of the school in your residential attendence zone (the sending school). Applications must be recieved between March 1 and June 1 for fall semester transfers and between October 1 and December 1 for spring semester transfers.
Cyber Safety

It is our desire that students understand how to keep themselves safe when using communication tools such as the internet, online chat rooms, and cell phones. The following sites are great resources for students, parents, and educators who are interested in learning more about and teaching others about cyber dangers like cyber bullying, stranger danger, and personal online safety.
